The year 2021 was special for Greece as it marked the anniversary of the 200 years of the fight for our independence.
The City of Athens commemorated this event by dedicating its calendar-agenda to General Makriyiannis, a hero of the Greek Revolution, who only learnt to write after the Revolution in order to make a first-hand account of the collective struggle, its sacrifices and accomplishments. He also chose to illustrate the text with depictions of the most significant moments and assigned the work to Demetrios Zografos, a fellow revolutionary and folk painter.
We were commissioned to design and produce this important work of major significance. With an eye to details we crafted an agenda that not only would serve as a utilitarian piece but also would "educate" its holder about this important personality of the Greek Revolution.
Special papers, bookbinding and printing were used to craft this special publication in the City of Athens' standards.
